Check out the movie Anvil, the somewhat tragic story of the band by the same name. The movie opens with mega stars talking about how pioneering these guys were, the rest of the movie follows the band’s thirty years of playing music in small bars and receiving empty promises from bookers and agents. These guys have a lot of heart, and though I’m not a fan of the genre they appear to possess some talent too. Definitely worth watching.
The top scene actually made me tear up.
